Joseph Messer, MST, CPA

As Senior Tax Manager, Joe holds a Business Degree from Chico State with an accounting specialization and a  Master’s in Taxation from CSU, Northridge. He specializes in compliance and tax planning for pass-through entities and multi-state transactions in the manufacturing and real estate industries.  Joe enjoys the technical aspects of taxation and works proactively to plan and efficiently apply tax laws for his clients’ maximum benefit.

Joe comes from a long line of accountants: his maternal grandmother was a CPA and tax partner for a Chicago-based firm, his paternal grandfather was a municipal treasurer in Michigan, several of his aunts and uncles are accountants, and an uncle is a controller for a logistics company in Michigan.

He enjoys golf, deep sea and freshwater fishing, spending time with family and friends and an occasional pint of craft beer. Joe joined LevitZacks in 2016.
